Congratulations to Clement Cheung (張爾洛) of Class 6A and our school! On 17th July, Clement attended the 5th TOEFL Best of the Best Award Ceremony. He was joined by his mum and by Mr Wong, our Panel Head of English. Clement’s test result placed him in the top 0.5% of all candidates in Hong Kong. We are also delighted to announce that our school has received the TOEFL Best of the Best School Award in Hong Kong. A special thank you to our English teachers for their careful guidance and to all our parents for your support!

Our drama team delivered a vibrant and captivating performance of our original play Winner Takes All at the Interschool Drama Competition. With their incredible energy, creativity and teamwork, our students achieved two outstanding awards! Nana Mak (P6) received the Outstanding Actor Award while our school won the Overall Second Runner-up. A huge congratulations to all our talented performers for their dedication, hard work and passion!

Our students in P3 and P4 had a chance to watch a fun adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth performed by professional actors from Shakespeare4All. The actors brought the play to life in an interactive way. The students were completely captivated from the start. There were several interactive scenes where students got to participate. They could experience the richness of the English language beyond the classroom. Watching the drama not only strengthened our students’ English proficiency but also encouraged them to think critically, reflect on the consequences of their choices, and develop positive values such as kindness, empathy and responsibility.

This year’s English Day was held on 30th January with the theme ‘Eat Well Day’! Our school became a lively, healthy wonderland. It allowed our students to learn English and nutrition facts in a happy environment. The activities were rich and exciting. Our students learnt to tell the differences among foods of different colours and understood the importance of a balanced diet. In the classrooms, students used English to introduce and share their healthy snacks. Through these activities, students not only practised speaking English with confidence, but also learnt to choose foods that are good for their bodies and established healthy eating habits.

It was Big Hearts Day English Day on 21st March. Students from P1 to P3 took part many enjoyable activities which encouraged care and friendship. The day began with an English performance in the school hall, which was followed by a lot of game booths. All these activities aimed to promote kindness. Our students have learnt about empathy and looking after others. They practised their English in a relaxed setting along the way.

It is Grateful Hearts Day today!  With the theme of gratitude, students of primary 1 to 3 learn English while having fun.  They express their gratitude by sharing short stories and drawing posters.
